Recognition
Recognition is when you are able to retrieve memories from your long-term memory with a reminder. An example of this is when you take a mulitple choice test. You may not recognise the question but as soon as you see the answer you are able to respond correctly. Another example of this is if you are trying to picture what a woman looks like that your friend is talking about and you are not able to, but your friend says that they have red hair. After she says this you may completely remember what she looked like because you were given a reminder. This means you have recognition which makes it easier to remember then recall.
